Whoopi Weepy Over Montage Diss

It's not quite as glaring as Brad Renfro's omission from the in memoriam montage, but Whoopi Goldberg got teary this morning on "The View" over getting left off the Oscar-host clip reel -- even though she's hosted four times.

Barbara Walters wondered if she was left out because she was included in an Oscar-winner's reel, and pointed out that Steve Martin was also left out. But the waterworks started when she thanked the rest of the "View" crew for "making up" for the diss.

16. When you consider how little genuine talent we've seen coming from Whoopi over the years, I think she's gone much further in show business than anyone of us we have expected.

Kwitchyerwhinin; Whoops.

17. You all are like ignorant ass little 12 year old that show no respect to a great actress, Oscar winner and humanitarian. This woman has attained a lit of "firsts" in her career (including being the first black female to host the Oscars and the first Oscar winner to host the Oscars) while you ignorant bastards sit in front of your computer salivating on the decline of another' successfuk career..

You are sad ass people.

22. Whoopi was NOT whining. I watched the show this morning. It was the other View co-hosts who were making a big deal out of her not being mentioned or shown on the Oscars. Whoopi got emotional when she saw how much they really cared about that. That's all to it.

23. Bring back Whoopi as host! Get rid of Jon Stewart, he stinks.

24. I really enjoyed Whoopi's hosting- it was different and laid back, informal and funny. There must be new management there, and they "are gonna do things , different, damn it!" Sometimes things don't need to change. Why exclude people - "snob appeal" ? Don't they know people don't like that ? We really don't ! Even if we ourselves are snobs, we don't like established things like the Oscars to snub our faves. She is one of my faves. I like her.

25. I agree with the_icon. I'm not sure what the rest of you get out of bashing someone for no apparent reason but you really need to go find something better to do with your time. In a few years, you'll realize how silly you're being.

27. It's outrageous Whoopi was left out. Being an Oscar host--FOUR times-- is a big accomplishment. What a slap in the face.

It's also outrageous that Brad Renfro was left out.

I think the writer's strike is to blame. The wheezy geezy old feebs who put the Oscars show together didn't have the brain cells to put the show together by themselves, and the writers didn't have enough time to fix all of the huge screwups.

The Academy sucks.

28. Plenty of black people have been hosts. Star Jones, one of the founding panelists of The View and a long-time host, comes to mind. Was she in the montage? I wouldn't know, as I didn't watch the show. Boring, stupid, and boycotted.

29. the_icon-You are SO right, however, can't you say the first black woman or the first black lady. When people say black female, it reminds me of slavery days, as in 1 black female, strong, can cook, field ready. We are black ladies or women , not animals

30. I saw her win in one of the clips they showed!! She should look it over again.
